Heidi in the University of Illinois’ Philharmonic Orchestra

By: Nancy Ibarra Medrano

An extra piece. A favor to me.

I wanted to see, but these words are for you.

I have notes to look back on, but I’m still not sure. Niether of us know what is expected of her.

My lack of awareness compares nothing to the lack of compassion for her.

I missed the reading aloud, but I heard it on sight.

Their feet were rumbling – the night.

The observed state of peace.

The total charity – your voice in the speech.

This was a recording of the Illini Strings. Sorry, it really shouldn’t be included, but it was my favorite shot of the night.
Heidi.
Towards the balcony.
