For our second assignment, we had to shoot photos that had a constant theme/told a story. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do for my project for a few days. I knew I wanted to do a day-in-the-life type story, but I kept on dithering back and forth between different ideas. However, on Sunday night I was hanging out with some friends when they decided to go to the library to work on homework. That’s when I got the idea to document the trip.
When I actually had to shoot the photos, I didn’t have as much difficulty as I did with Assignment 1. Since I already knew how to use the camera, it was pretty straightforward. The challenging part for me was probably thinking of different angles and shots in my head. I really enjoyed it because it forced me to view a place I had been hundreds of times in a different light. Overall, I liked all of the shots that I got and I feel like it captures the atmosphere and emotions of a late night studying at the library. You can view my project here.
