My video can be found here.
This week I felt very stressed out and very much out of my element working on this project. There is a phrase that Einstein said once, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish on it’s ability to climb a tree, it will live it’s whole life believing that it is stupid” and this week I kind of felt like that fish. I realized once I started shooting the event that I had no idea how to go about shooting a volleyball tournament and that it was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I felt like I had cool ideas and visions of what I wanted in my head, but it was as lot harder to put into practice and get good shots.
I think I struggle this week with what angles and ways to shoot the game in order to come up with different shots and points of view. I also didn’t realize I needed to use the microphone that plugged in to the camera until after I had gotten home after doing my interviews, the sound quality isn’t what it could have been. Also, when I exported my video from Adobe Premier, for some reason the quality of my video went way down, and the images all look blurry or out of focus. They didn’t look blurry when I was shooting or editing, so I’m not sure what happened during the export process.
Overall, I felt a little stressed out this week and overwhelmed with the equipment and technology, but I will keep trying my best!
