Learning new things in life can be a challenge, but it can also be exciting and rewarding. When I first registered for Multimedia Reporting, I didn’t know what to expect. Aside from noticing journalism students sprawled around campus with their cameras and tripods in hand, I wasn’t too familiar with the course and the kinds of assignments I would have to do. I had already had my initial taste of filming and interviewing on camera during my summer internship at Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) – Chicago, where I created a recruiting video for the non-profit organization. Still, I knew there was much to learn, especially in terms of different angles and types of shots.
