That’s a Wrap! End of Semester Reflection

Time to check out all the hard work from this semester and reflect!

I cannot believe the semester is almost over. This has been by far one of my favorite classes and I feel sad that it’s over. Professor Collins made this class so enjoyable and I know what I’ve learned in her classroom, I will use in my career.

Assignment 1 Griffin

Going into this class, I wasn’t really sure of what to expect. I thought, ‘Yeah we’ll probably do some writing, maybe a view voiceovers, just some boring stuff.’ But on my first day that mindset was immediately changed. During the first class period, we were handed an entire camera kit that contained a $2000 dollar camera. My eyes lit up. I cradled the camera like it was own baby. Yes, I have always had a knack for finer things in life and at the time was least expecting our journalism class to lend us such a nice camera for a whole semester, but this brought forth an excitement for a class here at UIUC I’ve never felt before.

Coffee Break

Tis the season of midterms, cold weather, and warm coffee.

Here at the Illinois campusscreen-shot-2016-10-13-at-10-30-02-pm, coffee is all the craze. No matter what coffee shop is your favorite, you can find most students rely on their daily cup. Whether it’s because we’re busier or because new types of coffee have become more popular, young people are drinking more coffee than ever before. Preparing for #1 Penn State

Filming gymnastics presented many challenges.

Filming gymnastics presented many challenges.

I can’t even begin to explain my relief in completing my assignment 4 video. There were so many things about this assignment that I did differently which made for a much easier editing process than the last assignment.

Assignment 3 Bradley – Adding Audio

I did my project on a ride on an MTD bus.

When I walked into the classroom to add audio to my video, I had no idea it would be as difficult as it was.

I was able to compile all of my audio and insert it into premier just the way I wanted it. That was just about the only easy part of my entire experience… Continue reading

Assignment 2 Bradley

With the second assignment, I experienced a few more difficulties than I did with the first. Overall I’m happy with how my project turned out, but as with anything in life, there are some things I wish I would have done differently.

Some photos turned out nice.

Here is a complete manicure.

Walking into the nail salon, taking a quick glance at the prices can be shocking. Fifteen to twenty dollars for a simple  manicure is crazy when you can walk to Walmart and pick up the needed materials for less than 10 dollars. With that said, the tips to doing your own at home manicure are quick and easy and may even save you from breaking that $20 sitting around in your wallet.

How To Make A Kugel

By Joey Gelman

When it comes to Jewish Holidays or gatherings, a Noodle-Kugel is always a staple.

A typical Jewish brunch would not be complete without a Noodle Kugel. While these meals mainly focus on bagels and deli meats, a warm, home-cooked side-dish is always an added bonus. However, when it comes to Kugel, my family is different than most.
