For this assignment, we were assigned a photo essay. I was so excited! I’ve loved learning how to take good quality photos. I went to the arboretum and loved how quiet and beautiful the garden is. You can see my essay without sound here, and with sound here.
This experience was a really calming way to get away from my stressful life this week and just be with my camera. It was quiet too, just myself and the humming of the insects.
My essay with sound adds a nice element but I do enjoy it without sound. I look forward to gaining more experience with how to effectly use sound to improve the final product so it’s there for a purpose.
I also learned how important it is to be patient, as I had to wait for the perfect timing to get a still of the butterfly!
