Multimedia has changed my life. Dramatic, I know, but it’s true.

At the beginning of the semester, I blindly transferred into the broadcast journalism from news-editorial. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I was pretty sure news-editorial wasn’t it.

The do’s and don’ts of studying

As eight-week classes wrap up and courses are at their most intense, final and midterm exams are in full swing. While trying to schedule around their normal class work, extracurriculars and jobs, students have to find studying methods that work best for them.

For this project, I’m going to be honest, I didn’t have a backup plan. I was going to go to the vigil for the slain UNC students. My video would be emotion, moving and I would have plenty of willing subjects.

But sometimes good ideas come out of nowhere.

What scared me the most about this assignment was the thought of finding powerful images. I’m first few plans fell though, plans that I was sure were going to give me some emotion evoking images.

I’ve been obsessed with making my own videos and spent countless hours watching YouTube videos. I’ve spent so much time around the medium, I thought I’d have no trouble at all.
