I started to freak out as soon as assignment two was announced.  How would I be able to capture and tie together all four emotions: afraid, fearful, excitement, and hopeful?  I knew it would be challenging.  I wasted no time thinking of ideas, but nothing was coming to mind.  Then of course, we hear news of President Donald Trump’s  executive order and travel ban on Friday, January 27, 2017.

Rally Against Rape Culture: students demand more from administration

It was organized by members of an RSO called Students Against Sexual Assault and sponsored by other social justice groups on campus. Those who spoke and those who watched agree that it was an empowering and emotional event.

You are Not Alone: Rally Against Rape Culture

Illinois students are stepping up to send a powerful message.

The Rally Against Rape Culture was held Friday on the Main Quad where speakers talked about ways to end rape culture and sexual assault on college campuses. They also spoke about supporting survivors and how to report a sexual assault.
